Increase quantities by 20–30% for high-moisture cargo (green timber, agricultural produce, leather footwear) or tropical routing (Southeast Asia, West Africa). Standard Packing Procedure

1. Verify cargo moisture content before stuffing — use a moisture meter; cargo should be below 14% moisture content to minimise initial moisture load.
2. Hang desiccants along container walls — attach hooks or rope ties to wall bars; distribute evenly on both sides, prioritising container corners where temperature gradients are steepest.
3. Insert smaller units between cartons — place Silica Gel 50g–100g packets inside individual cartons for localised RH control at the package level.
4. Seal and label with stuffing date — record the date, quantity, and product type for shipment tracking and insurance documentation.
5. Mid-voyage inspection if warehouse-stored > 30 days — check desiccant weight gain or indicator colour change; replace saturated units before vessel departure.
