Calcium Chloride Desiccant 25g — Tyvek — Blue
Calcium Chloride desiccant 25g on Tyvek paper with OEM logo — absorbs 200–300% of its weight in moisture (6–8× more than silica gel). Ideal for small electronics and mechanical accessories in high-humidity environments. CaCl₂ ≥ 94% converts to transparent gel when saturated; Tyvek packaging prevents leakage.
CEMACOSG's Calcium Chloride 25g Blue-Logo Tyvek sachet is the highest-performance desiccant in the CEMACOSG product range — CaCl₂ absorbs 200–300% of its own weight in moisture (6–10 times more than silica gel or clay), making it the specified choice for extremely high-RH environments above 80% and equatorial container routes. The Tyvek pouch withstands the hydrostatic pressure of CaCl₂ converting to a liquid gel upon saturation, preventing leakage throughout the full service life of the sachet.
Technical Specifications
- Net weight: 25 g (tolerance ±3%)
- Composition: Calcium chloride (CaCl₂) granules, ≥ 94% purity — DMF-free
- Moisture absorption: 200–300% by weight at 25°C / RH 90% — equivalent to 50–75 ml of water per sachet
- Operating range: 0–50°C; particularly effective at RH > 70%
- Packaging material: Tyvek 1073B — rated for liquid-gel pressure resistance, puncture-resistant, non-friable
- Print: CEMACOSG logo + "DO NOT EAT — DO NOT ALLOW DIRECT PRODUCT CONTACT" warning in blue
- Standards: ISO 9001:2015
- Shelf life: 24 months (sealed, ≤ 25°C, RH < 50%)
Practical Applications
- Electronics containers on Southeast Asia–Africa lanes: The Singapore–Lagos route runs 22–25 days crossing the equatorial Atlantic at sustained sea RH of 85–95%. CaCl₂ 25g Tyvek sachets placed inside electronics cartons handle moisture loads that standard silica gel or clay cannot absorb quickly enough.
- Cold rooms & technical control panels: Server rooms, switchgear cabinets and DCS control rooms at coastal Vietnamese sites (Da Nang, Vung Tau) — RH reaches 90–95% during monsoon season. One 25g CaCl₂ sachet absorbs 50–75 ml of water, equivalent to 5–8 days of continuous absorption in coastal conditions. Replace sachets every 7 days during monsoon.
- Diagnostic sample & biological specimen transport: Biological samples packed in insulated foam boxes — RH below 40% is required to suppress bacterial activity. One 25g CaCl₂ Tyvek sachet controls a 5–8 litre box for 48–72 hours of domestic transport.
Ordering Information
- MOQ: 1,000 sachets for standard orders; 2,000 sachets for custom OEM Tyvek printing
- Lead time: 5–7 business days (CaCl₂ production requires stricter environmental controls than silica gel)
- Export packing: 100 sachets/vacuum PE bag; 10 bags/carton
- Storage note: Store in dry warehouse at RH < 50%, away from open air — CaCl₂ begins absorbing moisture immediately upon any breach of the sealed outer packaging
- OEM: Custom logo on Tyvek surface — minimum 2,000 sachets
